The name she's been using since time immemorial was Genever. Its also what's reflected in her passport and other government issued IDs, as well as her SSS records. But when she started fixing her SSS, it was discovered that the name registered with the civil registrar was "Genever Patricia".<br /><br />The SSS advised her that she has to secure a court order for them to assess her claims, and that the said office wouldn't accept affidavits coming from 2 disinterested persons. But if the real name is John, but the one printed is Paul, then that is not clerical. You have to go to court for that. The length of the process depends on where you are from (if the courts there are busy or not), but ballpark figure will be around 1 year. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on how much it will cost you.
